Luke Pearce

Luke Pearce is an experienced educator with over 10 years in the field, currently serving as an Associate Lecturer at University College London (UCL), where he primarily contributes to the Englicious project. His work involves creating online educational resources, engaging in social media marketing, and providing teacher training. Luke has a diverse teaching background that includes English as a Foreign Language (EFL) overseas, English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at universities, and ESOL, Functional Skills, and GCSE instruction in Further Education colleges and training providers. He has conducted research on the role of 'non-standard' varieties of English in the education system through interviews and Critical Discourse Analysis. Luke holds a Master’s in Education and Language, a PGCE in Post-16 and Further Education, a CELTA certification, and a BA Hons in Politics and Spanish, making him a knowledgeable advocate for innovative teaching practices and language education.
