Davidson NextLarry Cain has served as Professor of Physics at Davidson College since 1978, where his distinguished career spans teaching, research, and curriculum development. As department chair for 18 years, he fostered undergraduate research, resulting in numerous experimental publications with students. His contributions to physics education include developing interactive curricular materials and extensive involvement with the AP Physics program. He co-chaired the AP Physics Redesign Commission that transformed AP Physics B into AP Physics 1 and 2, while serving in multiple leadership roles including chair of both the AP Physics Test Development Committee and AP Physics C Development Committee
