Kolja Raube

Kolja Raube serves as Assistant Professor of European Studies at KU Leuven's Faculty of Social Sciences and holds key positions as senior member and research manager at the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies. As programme coordinator for KU Leuven's Master of European Studies: Transnational and Global Perspectives, he shapes the next generation of European affairs specialists while maintaining international academic connections as adjunct professor at American University Washington D.C.'s Brussels Campus and through previous visiting positions at Kobe University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research portfolio encompasses major EU-funded projects including RECONNECT, CONNECTIVITY, EUCROSS, FRAGOLA, and EUSUM, focusing on European Parliament dynamics, interparliamentary cooperation, and EU external relations. His scholarly work, which has appeared in prestigious journals such as the British Journal of Politics and International Relations and the Cambridge Review of International Affairs, examines critical aspects of EU governance including security policies, rule of law, legitimacy, and policy coherence. Through his extensive publications with major academic publishers and his involvement in multiple Jean Monnet initiatives, he continues to shape scholarly understanding of EU institutional dynamics and global governance while fostering international academic collaboration and knowledge exchange.
