Professor Karl Blanchet is the Director of the Geneva Centre of Humanitarian Studies and a Professor in Humanitarian Public Health at the University of Geneva. Prior to his current role, he worked at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where he co-founded the Health in Humanitarian Crises Centre. His research focuses on health system resilience and public health issues in conflict-affected regions, with particular attention to women, adolescents, and child health in humanitarian settings.
