ETH ZurichJustyna Swat is a systems-oriented designer and trained architect currently serving as a lecturer at the École nationale supérieure de création industrielle (ENSCI–Les Ateliers) in Paris. She is the founder of TinyLabs, a design initiative focused on innovative solutions for sustainability, and a design associate at the MonViso Institute, a real-world laboratory dedicated to sustainability transitions and regenerative design. Swat holds a strong commitment to informed design for innovation and systems change, utilizing technology and science to support creative problem-solving. Since 2014, she has been actively involved in teaching at ENSCI–Les Ateliers, where she shares her expertise in design thinking and sustainable practices. Her work emphasizes the importance of collaboration across disciplines to address complex challenges in contemporary society. Additionally, she initiated POC21, a hardware innovation camp for climate solutions during the UN’s COP21 Summit in Paris, bringing together a diverse group of makers and designers to prototype sustainable technologies. Through her multifaceted approach to design and education, Justyna Swat aims to foster positive impact and navigate the complexities of modern environmental issues.
