Tokyo Institute of TechnologyJun Fudano is currently a Professor at Waseda University's Center for Higher Education Studies (CHES), where he has been serving since April 2020. His academic credentials include a PhD in History of Science from the University of Oklahoma and an MA in Education from International Christian University. Prior to his current position, he held significant roles at Tokyo Institute of Technology, including Professor at the Institute for Liberal Arts (2016-2018) and the Tokyo Tech Academy for Leadership (2018-2020). His extensive academic career also includes positions at Kanazawa Institute of Technology (1994-2015), where he served as Professor in Academic Foundations Programs and Humanities and Social Sciences. His expertise spans research ethics, science and engineering ethics, and the role of liberal arts in engineering education. He has made substantial contributions to engineering ethics education in Japan, focusing on its necessity, objectives, and implementation methods. As a visiting scholar, he has worked at prestigious institutions including the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History and The University of Tokyo. His current research interests encompass global engineering education, research misconduct prevention, engineering ethics, and business ethics, making him a leading figure in promoting ethical practices in scientific and engineering research
