His distinguished career includes various academic and management positions at the university, while his research focuses primarily on physical modeling of breakwaters and product-oriented research. His most notable achievement is the co-invention of the Cubípodo® for sloping breakwater armor layers, which has revolutionized coastal protection infrastructure. His extensive research portfolio encompasses dozens of national and international R&D projects, resulting in more than two hundred technical-scientific articles and several invention patents.
