Joanne Sneddon is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the UWA Business School and Co-Director of the UWA Centre for Human and Cultural Values. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Western Australia in 2009, focusing on factors influencing the adoption and implementation of new technologies within the Australian wool industry. Joanne's research primarily centers on the measurement of human values and their relationship to behavior in both adults and children, contributing significantly to the understanding of consumer and pro-social behavior across various contexts.With over 40 publications in international journals, Joanne has established herself as a leading researcher in her field. Her work includes developing innovative instruments for measuring values, such as the Best-Worst refined values instrument (BWVr) for adults and the Animated Values Instrument (AVI) for children. In addition to her research, she teaches Marketing Principles in the UWA MBA program and collaborates with non-profit organizations to enhance their fundraising strategies, showcasing her commitment to applying academic insights to real-world challenges.
