Joanne Larrabee

Joanne Larrabee serves as a staff member at MIT's Information Systems and Technology organization, where she dedicates herself to making science and technology more accessible to diverse audiences. Her passion lies in teaching and mentoring student scientists and engineers, helping them develop effective communication skills to share their work with various audiences. As a Somerville resident and Red Sox enthusiast, she can now enjoy convenient transit to Fenway Park via the completed Green Line Extension, which opened in 2022 with the Union Square Branch providing direct service to the Fenway area. The extension removes an estimated 26,000 vehicle trips per day from local streets and offers riders a one-seat journey from Somerville to Fenway Park and the Longwood Medical Area
