Prof. Dr. Jeroen Jansz is a Full Professor of Communication and Media in the Department of Media & Communication at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where he also serves as the Academic Director of the Community for Learning & Innovation. His research primarily focuses on the reception of new media, with a longstanding interest in the appeal of digital games. Jansz is a co-founder of the Game Studies Division within the International Communication Association and is actively involved with PEGI’s expert group (Pan European Game Information). He has extensive experience in teaching and innovative course design, covering large-scale undergraduate courses on Digital Gaming, Communication Theories, and specialized master's courses.
