Jeff Maggioncalda

Jeff Maggioncalda has served as the CEO of Coursera since June 2017, leading the company to remarkable growth with over 136 million learners and partnerships with more than 7,000 institutions globally. Under his leadership, Coursera has become a premier platform for high-quality learning content from over 300 top universities and industry educators. Prior to joining Coursera, Jeff was the founding CEO of Financial Engines, where he played a pivotal role in providing online investment advice that significantly impacted retirement planning for millions. His extensive experience includes consulting roles at McKinsey & Company and Cornerstone Research, and he currently serves as a director at SVB Financial Group. Jeff holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and English from Stanford University. Passionate about lifelong learning, he enjoys studying music theory and spending quality time with his family.
