Jefatura de Educación para la Igualdad, CIGU

The Jefatura de Educación para la Igualdad, part of the Coordination for Gender Equality (CIGU) at UNAM, is responsible for promoting gender equality through education. This role involves leading initiatives that integrate gender perspectives into educational programs across all fields of knowledge and levels of education at UNAM. The goal is to create a more inclusive and equitable academic environment by addressing gender-based violence and promoting awareness about gender issues. As part of its mission, the CIGU works to ensure that gender equality is a core aspect of UNAM's educational framework. This includes developing curricula, training faculty and staff, and implementing policies that foster a culture of equality and respect for diversity.
