Jason Pridmore is an Associate Professor in the Department of Media and Communication at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where his research primarily explores digital identification practices, the use of new and social media, consumer data as surveillance mechanisms, and issues surrounding digital and cyber security. He has published extensively on topics such as marketing practices, information exchange, privacy, data ethics, mobile technology, policing, citizenship, branding, and quantified self movements. Jason serves in an advisory capacity for various European Union and Dutch-funded research projects addressing new technologies, privacy, and security concerns. He is also the co-editor of Digitising Identities: Doing Identity in a Networked World, published by Routledge.
