Dr. Jason H. Pridmore is an Associate Professor in the Department of Media and Communication at Erasmus University Rotterdam. His research primarily focuses on practices of digital identification, the use of new and social media as surveillance tools, and issues related to digital (cyber) security. He has extensively explored marketing practices and information exchange, contributing to research on privacy, data ethics, mobile devices, policing practices, citizenship, branding, and the quantified self movements. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Pridmore serves as an advisor for various European Union research projects and Dutch-funded initiatives that address new technologies and their implications for privacy and security. He is also a co-editor of the book Digitising Identities: Doing Identity in a Networked World, published by Routledge.
