Dr. James Palm is an accomplished actor and educator, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of London. He trained at the East 15 School of Acting and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, earning an MA in Advanced Theatre Practice in 2000 and subsequently a PhD in 2011. His research primarily focuses on actor training, particularly on the theme of (Re)gaining Trust in Conservatoires, and he has contributed to the upcoming book Stanislavski and Race, set to be published by Routledge in 2023. Dr. Palm has presented at numerous national and international conferences on actor training development and currently leads the Short Courses Programme at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He teaches the course "Discover Acting," which introduces students to fundamental concepts of acting and encourages them to explore their unique potential as performers.
