James Kit Hon Tsoi is an Assistant Professor in Dental Materials Science and the Assistant Dean of Electives and Experiential Learning at the University of Hong Kong's Faculty of Dentistry. He began his academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied and Analytical Chemistry, followed by a PhD in Dental Materials Science, both from HKU. His research interests encompass various areas, including the mechanical behaviors of dental materials, novel resin composites and ceramics, biomaterials, dental informatics, and digital dentistry, particularly CAD/CAM technologies. As the Convenor of the Biomedical and Tissue Engineering Research Group, Dr. Tsoi leads innovative research initiatives and actively promotes advancements in dental material science. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles and has contributed significantly to dental education through his teaching and leadership roles. Additionally, he is involved in various international collaborations and serves on editorial boards for several scientific journals.
