Ira Pohl

Ira Pohl is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Fellow of the ACM. He is part of the Jack Baskin School of Engineering and has authored numerous works on programming languages including C, C++, C#, and Java. His research interests span artificial intelligence, programming languages, practical complexity problems, heuristic search methods, deductive algorithms, and educational and social issues. In his leisure time, he enjoys walks and bike rides by the ocean and occasionally plays chess in a coffee house.
