Grant Hartzog is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He also serves as the Executive Director of the Global and Community Health Program. Hartzog received his PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from the University of California, San Francisco, in 1992. His research focuses on the regulation of transcription elongation and its connections to chromatin structure and RNA processing in yeast.
