Graeme Martin, born in 1951, is a Professor at the University of Western Australia with extensive expertise in agricultural science and reproductive endocrinology. After graduating with honors in Agricultural Science from UWA in 1975, he completed his doctorate in reproductive endocrinology in 1981. His international experience includes research positions at INRA Station de Physiologie de la Reproduction in France and the Medical Research Council's Reproductive Biology Unit in Edinburgh. Returning to Perth in 1986, he served in a joint position as Lecturer in Animal Science at UWA and Research Scientist at CSIRO Division of Animal Production before becoming a full-time professor at UWA in 2001. His significant contributions to the field are evidenced by more than 300 refereed science journal articles, establishing him as a leading authority in agricultural and reproductive science.
