Georgios Z. Papadopoulos serves as an Associate Professor at IMT Atlantique in Rennes, France, while also holding a position as a Research Scientist at the IRT b<>com in Rennes. He previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Bristol. Dr. Papadopoulos earned his HDR from the University of Rennes 1 in 2021 and his PhD with honors from the University of Strasbourg in 2015. He has delivered over 20 keynote, tutorial, and invited talks at various international conferences, universities, and research labs worldwide. Actively involved in the organization and program committees of numerous scientific events, such as IEEE CSCN’22 and IEEE GLOBECOM’21, he has also served as an Associate Editor for Wireless Networks, Internet Technology Letters, and Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies since 2018. With over 80 peer-reviewed publications in computer communications, networks, and cybersecurity, Dr. Papadopoulos participates in the IETF standards organization, contributing multiple drafts to the RAW, ROLL, and DetNet Working Groups. His research interests encompass Industrial IoT, Deterministic Networks, Smart Grid, Wireless Battery Management Systems in Electric Vehicles, Cybersecurity, and Integrated Access and Backhaul for 5G networks. He teaches courses at IMT Atlantique and the University of Rennes 1 and has been invited to deliver short courses globally, including at the University of Buenos Aires and the International Hellenic University, focusing on wireless networks and the Internet of Things.
