Dr. Eva Garen, based at Yale University, has nearly twenty-five years of experience in tropical conservation and development. She has been the Director of ELTI since 2012 and previously advised on REDD+ with Conservation International and worked with USAID as a Science and Technology Policy Fellow. Her postdoctoral research in Panama focused on reforestation and land restoration. She earned her M.E.S. and Ph.D. in social ecology from the Yale School of the Environment.
