Delft University of TechnologyErwin Heurkens serves as an Assistant Professor in Urban Development Management at TU Delft's Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, where he has been contributing since 2012. His expertise spans urban development, real estate, public-private partnerships, and sustainable urban practices, with particular focus on market-driven planning and development. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. from TU Delft (2012) studying private sector-led urban development projects across the Netherlands, UK, and USA. As Program Leader for the post-master course Master City Developer (MCD), he coordinates various educational initiatives including online MOOCs, BSc, MSc, and post-MSc courses. His international experience includes visiting scholarships at prestigious institutions worldwide, including the University of Technology Sydney, University of Birmingham, University of Hong Kong, and University of Southern California. His research portfolio encompasses sustainable urban development, governance partnerships, and circular economy transitions, particularly through his work on the Dutch national research programme Urban Transformations and TranCiBo project focusing on circular economy transition in the Dutch construction sector
