Dr. Nick Weise

Nick's expertise lies in applying biomolecular science and engineering techniques to develop greener, more sustainable processes for chemical manufacturing. He has held leadership roles as a Peer-assisted Study Session (PASS) Leader and Coordinator, along with serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Manchester and a Visiting Fellow at the Open University. His teaching philosophy focuses on interdisciplinary learning at the intersection of biology and chemistry, fostering technology-enhanced education, and supporting diverse learning communities. His contributions to teaching have earned him recognition with an Inaugural Fellowship at the University of Manchester's Institute of Teaching and Learning (ITL) and a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
