Dr. Michael Charles Johanek is a Senior Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education, where he directs the Mid-Career Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership. A former executive at Teachscape and the College Board, he has extensive experience in educational leadership, policy, and professional development. Dr. Johanek’s research focuses on school reform, community-centered education, and citizenship development. He collaborates internationally, notably in Latin America, and has been awarded a Fulbright grant for his work. His course, American Education Reform: History, Policy, Practice, explores the historical and policy dimensions of education reform in the U.S.
