Dr. Lizette Guzman Ramirez

Dr. Lizette Guzman Ramirez is the Open & Responsible Research Coordinator at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where she focuses on advancing open science practices and enhancing data management. She holds a bachelor's degree in physics, as well as a master's and PhD in astrophysics. Before joining the Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM), Dr. Guzman Ramirez worked at the European Southern Observatory in Chile and Leiden Observatory in the Netherlands. Her expertise encompasses open data, community engagement with researchers, and ensuring reproducibility of research results. She is dedicated to providing the necessary tools and frameworks to promote open science and public engagement, which are crucial for advancing knowledge across various research fields. Additionally, Dr. Guzman Ramirez is an instructor for the Coursera course "A Starter's Guide to Open Science," aimed at empowering researchers with foundational knowledge in open science principles.
