Dr. Henry Perry is a Senior Scientist in International Health at Johns Hopkins University, with over three decades of experience in managing and evaluating health programs in developing countries. He holds a Doctorate in Public Health, along with an MD and MPH, and is the founder of Curamericas Global, an NGO dedicated to improving health outcomes in underserved communities across Bolivia, Guatemala, Haiti, and Liberia. Dr. Perry's extensive fieldwork has taken him to 15 countries, where he has focused on community-based approaches to health improvement, particularly in maternal and child health. His research interests include primary health care, community participation, and equity in health services.An accomplished author, Dr. Perry has published over 100 scientific articles on topics ranging from health manpower to community-oriented public health strategies. He has received several prestigious awards for his contributions to public health, including the Gordon-Wyon Award for Excellence in Community-Oriented Public Health. In addition to his research and advocacy work, Dr. Perry teaches the course "Health for All Through Primary Health Care" on Coursera, furthering his commitment to educating future public health leaders.
