Dr. Dominic William Massaro

Dr. Dom Massaro is a Research Professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a notable career in innovative language research involving preschool and school children, as well as adults. He has significantly advanced the field through empirical, theoretical, and technological contributions. Dr. Massaro was among the first to apply Bayesian principles to language understanding and is renowned for developing Baldi, a computer-animated face that produces accurate visible speech.
