Dr. Cyndi Burnett is an Associate Professor at the International Center for Studies in Creativity at SUNY Buffalo State, where she leads initiatives aimed at "igniting creativity around the world." Her projects focus on integrating creative thinking into both classroom and home settings. As the co-author of two influential books, Weaving Creativity into Every Strand of Your Curriculum and My Sandwich is a Spaceship: Creative Thinking for Parents and Young Children, she promotes innovative approaches to education. Before her academic career, Dr. Burnett was a professional actress, and her experiences on stage sparked a deep interest in the creative processes behind artistic creation. This passion led her to study creativity at the ICSC and ultimately earn her EdD in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning from the University of Toronto. Recently, she was featured in a New York Times article titled Creativity Becomes an Academic Discipline.
