Dr. Brian Aldridge is a Clinical Professor at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, specializing in large animal medicine and the interface between health and production in growing animals. He graduated with a veterinary degree from the University of Liverpool in 1984 and completed an internship in food animal medicine at Louisiana State University. After serving as a lecturer in large animal medicine in Edinburgh, he completed a residency and master's degree at Colorado State University, becoming a diplomat in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Dr. Aldridge earned his PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying colostral leukocyte transfer to newborn calves. He has held various academic positions, including associate professor at the Western University of Health Sciences and professor of farm animal health at the Royal Veterinary College in London. His research interests focus on adaptive health in young animals and he teaches "Sustainable Food Production Through Livestock Health Management," promoting advancements in animal health and welfare globally.
