Dr. Antonio Schettino is the Senior Advisor for Open Science at Erasmus Research Services at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where he leverages his background in experimental psychology, particularly in cognitive and affective electrophysiology, to promote transparent and open science practices throughout the research cycle. He has consistently implemented these practices from the preregistration of research ideas to manuscript publication. In his role, Dr. Schettino develops educational and training materials for students, researchers, and support staff, while also advising research teams and grant officers on effectively showcasing their commitment to open science in grant applications. Additionally, he provides insights to management and policymakers regarding current and future trends in evaluation procedures at both individual and institutional levels. Dr. Schettino is also a founder of the Open Science Community Rotterdam (OSCR), which fosters discussions on open research practices among researchers and professional staff, contributing to a broader movement towards making open scholarship the standard at Erasmus University.
