Dorte Sindbjerg Martinsen is a Professor at the University of Copenhagen's Department of Political Science, specializing in EU social policy and the free movement of persons and its implications for the welfare state. Her research examines EU policy-making dynamics, particularly the interactions between law and politics, as well as national compliance with EU policies. Martinsen has published extensively in reputable journals such as Comparative Political Studies, British Journal of Political Science, and Journal of Common Market Studies. Currently, she is the principal investigator on a research project investigating the role of European Administrative Networks in implementing and enforcing EU legislation.
