A Computer Science graduate with a Ph.D. in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Mysore (2016), she combines technical knowledge with communication expertise. As a former award-winning journalist, she has extensively covered health issues and currently serves as an Expert Committee member of WHO's Infodemic Management group. Her research interests encompass climate communication, sustainability, health, and political communication. Ganapathy holds positions as an affiliate faculty at the Centre for Climate Change Communication at George Mason University and is a former Visiting Scholar at UC San Diego. She is actively involved in a cross-national research study examining the impact of Climate Change on Health, demonstrating her commitment to addressing global challenges through communication research. Her work bridges the gap between academic research and practical application, making her a valuable contributor to both the academic community and public discourse on critical issues like climate change and health communication.
