Cris LaPierre

Cris LaPierre is a Senior Course Developer at MathWorks, where he integrates his engineering expertise with instructional design principles to create engaging online learning experiences. He holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Utah and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University. Prior to joining MathWorks, LaPierre worked at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, where he developed research hardware for both low- and high-field MRI systems. His role at MathWorks involves collaborating with instructors to design courses that utilize MathWorks products effectively, enhancing the educational experience for students.LaPierre is involved in developing several courses, including Data Processing and Feature Engineering with MATLAB, Exploratory Data Analysis with MATLAB, and Medical Image Processing. His contributions focus on providing learners with practical skills in data analysis and modeling using MATLAB, preparing them for real-world applications in various fields.
