Clive D.L. Wynne serves as Professor of Psychology at Arizona State University and founding director of the Canine Science Collaboratory. His academic journey began in England, where he completed his B.Sc. at University College London in 1983, followed by a Ph.D. from Edinburgh University in 1986. His research focuses on animal behavior and cognition, with particular emphasis on dogs and their wild relatives, human-animal interaction, and the history of psychology. As a leading authority in comparative psychology, he has authored significant works including "Animal Cognition: Evolution, Behavior and Cognition" (2013) and "Do Animals Think?" (2004). His research examines the complex relationships between humans and animals, particularly focusing on canine behavior, cognition, and welfare. Through his work at ASU, he continues to advance our understanding of animal psychology and behavior, contributing to both academic knowledge and practical applications in animal welfare and training.
