University of AdelaideChristian Haines serves as Lecturer in Electronic Music, Sound Design, Sonic Arts and Music Technology at the University of Adelaide's Elder Conservatorium of Music, where he co-directs the Electronic Music Unit. His creative work explores mobile sound, web technologies, probability, chaos and procedural generation through custom software applications. Currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Technology Sydney, he combines academic research with practical applications in sound art. His compositions and performances have been featured at significant events including ElectroFringe, Adelaide International Festival of Arts, Festival of Australian Music and the Adelaide Fringe. As a key instructor in the Music Technology Foundations program, he contributes to developing innovative approaches to music education through technology. His expertise spans electronic music composition, sound design, and the integration of new technologies in creative practice, making him an integral part of Adelaide's pioneering work in electronic music education.
