After earning his MSc in Contemporary Urbanism from the London School of Economics and training as a psychologist, he has built an extensive career spanning over 100 technical consultancies in more than 40 cities across multiple continents. As founder and former Executive Director of Despacio.org (2008-2018), he established himself as a leading voice in sustainable urban transport. His expertise encompasses bicycle strategy development, mass transit value capture mechanisms, and travel demand management policies across Latin America. His contributions to sustainable mobility earned him the Danish Cycling Embassy's 2018 Leadership Award. Through his work with development banks, UN agencies, and various institutions, he has authored over 30 publications and conducted more than 100 capacity-building activities, focusing on urban development, mobility, road safety, public health, and climate change in developing nations. His current role at NUMO involves leveraging technological disruptions in urban transport to create more equitable and sustainable cities.
