About Me
Dr. Bruce Branham serves as a Professor and Faculty Extension Specialist in the Department of Crop Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he has established himself as a leading authority in turfgrass management and horticultural science. His research portfolio spans multiple areas, including perennial crop management, turfgrass physiology, and sustainable food systems. As coordinator of the Landscape Horticulture Research Center, he oversees vital research facilities while teaching popular courses on "Golf Course Management: Best Practices" and "Sports Turf Management: Best Practices." His expertise extends from practical turfgrass management to broader agricultural systems, making significant contributions to both academic research and industry applications. Through his extension work, he bridges the gap between academic research and practical implementation, helping professionals in the field adopt evidence-based management practices for both ornamental and food crop production systems.
