Bill Bailey, PhD

Dr. Bill Bailey is an Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering at Kennesaw State University, with a PhD in Technology Management (Quality Systems Specialization) from Indiana State University. He also holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Technology and a dual undergraduate degree in Psychology and English. With extensive experience in manufacturing, Dr. Bailey specializes in lean implementation, Six Sigma methodologies, and quality systems. He has trained production employees and executives in process improvement and holds a Six Sigma Black Belt, actively training Green Belts and Black Belts. Dr. Bailey has served as an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and state-level awards like the Georgia Oglethorpe Award. His research focuses on improving organizational performance through quality initiatives such as Lean and Six Sigma, with applications across manufacturing, education, services, and healthcare. A member of several professional organizations, including the American Society for Quality, he combines academic expertise with practical industry insights to advance process improvement and organizational excellence.
