Anne Gilliland serves as the Scholarly Communications Officer at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Libraries, where she brings her expertise in both law (JD) and library science (MLS) to guide the university's scholarly publishing initiatives. Her work focuses on developing and implementing programs that advance scholarly communication practices while providing essential guidance on copyright law, fair use, authors' rights, and open access.
