Ankit Singla

Dr. Ankit Singla is a distinguished computer scientist who previously served as an Assistant Professor at ETH Zürich's Department of Computer Science after completing his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2015. His research focuses on data center networks, routing protocols, Internet architecture, and low-latency networking. A recipient of the prestigious Google PhD Fellowship in 2012, he has made significant contributions to the field, with his work "Jellyfish: Networking Data Centers Randomly" receiving over 745 citations. His research has pioneered new approaches to network topology design and data center architecture, with particular emphasis on optical switching architectures and high-speed networking.
