Andrea C. Wade, Ph.D.

Dr. Andrea C. Wade serves as the Provost and Vice President of Academic Services at The State University of New York. With over 20 years of experience in higher education, she has a strong background in teaching and coordinating learning experiences across various modalities, including classroom, laboratory, clinical, and online settings. Dr. Wade holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Medical Technology from The Catholic University of America and both a Master of Science and Doctorate in Microbiology from the University of Notre Dame. Her career began in academia, transitioning into technical and administrative roles within the healthcare industry before returning to higher education. She has been involved in numerous grants related to healthcare and instructional technologies and has received recognition for her excellence in teaching. Dr. Wade is also actively engaged in curriculum development and workforce initiatives, reflecting her commitment to enhancing educational quality and accessibility. She teaches the course Foundations for Assisting in Home Care, which prepares students for effective home care practices.
