Ciocoiu serves as an Outreach Curriculum Student Assistant at the University of British Columbia, where she combines her technical expertise in quantum computing hardware with her passion for educational outreach. As a key contributor to UBC's Geering Up Engineering Outreach program, she co-developed a groundbreaking EDx course designed to help high school teachers integrate quantum computing concepts into their classrooms. Her work focuses on creating accessible, low-cost quantum computing educational materials that can be implemented in various school settings, including rural areas with limited resources. Through her role in the Diversifying Talent in Quantum Computing initiative, she helps develop curriculum tools and educational kits that connect to D-Wave quantum processors, making complex quantum concepts approachable for K-12 students. As a UBC electrical engineering graduate and current Master's student working on hardware for quantum information systems, she brings both technical knowledge and educational innovation to her mission of making quantum computing accessible to people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
