Aline Philibert is an Assistant Professor at the University of Geneva, dedicated to international and humanitarian projects that emphasize participatory research and action-driven initiatives. With over 14 years of experience, she has conducted research and interventions across Africa, Asia, and the Americas, addressing critical issues such as climate change, food security, non-communicable diseases (including diabetes and cardiovascular disease), epidemics (like Zika, Ebola, dengue, and HIV/AIDS), population movements, maternal health, and the socio-cultural determinants of health. Motivated by her personal convictions, Philibert engages in interdisciplinary studies focused on human health, environmental sustainability, women’s empowerment, and social and environmental justice, particularly in low and middle-income countries. She is passionate about ecosystem-based and action-oriented research involving both indigenous and non-indigenous communities, with the goal of translating research findings into policy and practice changes.
