Alex Tapscott, born in 1986 in Toronto, has established himself as a leading voice in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency innovation. After graduating cum laude from Amherst College with a BA in Law, Jurisprudence and Social Thought, he combined his business acumen with technological expertise to become a globally recognized authority in emerging technologies. Together with his father Don Tapscott, he co-authored the bestselling book "Blockchain Revolution" and co-founded the Blockchain Research Institute, a multi-million dollar think-tank investigating blockchain strategies and applications. His contributions to digital transformation earned him and his father the Digital Thinking Award from Thinkers50. Beyond his academic work, Tapscott's early career included representing Canada as captain of the Men's Rugby Under-21 Team. His expertise spans blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and their impact on business, society, and government, demonstrated through his widely viewed TEDx San Francisco talk and his advisory roles with various organizations, including Elections Canada and several early-stage startups.
