Dr. Adolfo León Caicedo serves as Associate Professor at the University of the Andes, specializing in 20th century Latin American literature. After earning his Ph.D. in Literature from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), he has focused his research on Mexican poetry, narrative, and essay writing, as well as Colombian short stories and Latin American essays. His expertise spans multiple genres and national literatures within the Latin American context, with particular emphasis on literary analysis and critical theory. Through his Coursera course "Literatura Latinoamericana del Siglo XX," he helps students understand the complexities and richness of Latin American literary traditions. His teaching approach combines historical context with detailed textual analysis, making complex literary works accessible to students while maintaining scholarly rigor.
