Aditi Raina

Aditi Raina serves as a PPP Specialist with the World Bank's Infrastructure Finance, Public-Private Partnerships and Guarantees (IPG) Group, where she focuses on infrastructure investment planning and climate-resilient projects in the Pacific Islands. Her research portfolio includes significant contributions to transport decarbonization, particularly focusing on railways, and developing systematic infrastructure prioritization processes for the East Asia Pacific region. Before joining the World Bank, she worked at the World Wildlife Fund and gained extensive experience in community-based projects on biodiversity conservation and livelihood enhancement. Her academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore, where she specialized in water and food security research in India and Nepal, and a Master's in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science. As a co-author of influential reports on infrastructure development and transportation, she has contributed to understanding the role of railways in decarbonizing transport and establishing global benchmarks for railways, ports, and airports in developing countries
