Admission to the VIT Online MBA begins with an eligibility check. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree of at least three years with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). The application process involves submitting an online form, paying an application fee of Rs 1,200, compiling required documents, and completing an application review. Successful applicants proceed to pay a booking amount within 7 days of selection to secure their seat. Required documents include a passport-sized photo, digital signature, proof of age, 10th and 12th marksheets, UG degree/marksheets, experience certificate (if any), and ABC ID/UGC DEB-ID. NRI and foreign applicants must additionally provide proof of nationality and visa or NRI status documentation. The programme is structured over four semesters.

The VIT Online MBA curriculum is structured across four semesters, progressing from core management foundations to specialised electives. The first two semesters cover essential disciplines including Principles of Management, Managerial Economics, Financial Accounting, Data Analytics, Business Communication, HR Management, Marketing Management, and Operations Management. The third semester introduces Strategic Management and Financial Management alongside the first set of electives. The fourth semester is dedicated entirely to elective courses. Elective domains include General Management, Digital Marketing, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and HRM.
