Who is the programme for?
The MBA in Digital Business programme follows a structured admission process designed for working professionals in the digital business domain. Applicants must possess one of two qualification paths: either an Integrated First Degree of BITS or equivalent such as B.E./M.Sc. in relevant disciplines with at least 60% aggregate marks and minimum one year work experience after degree completion in relevant business domains; OR a three-year undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Science, Economics, Commerce, or Business Management with at least 60% aggregate marks, having studied one course in mathematics or statistics at high school or higher level, and with minimum two years of work experience after degree completion in relevant business domains. The application process is entirely online through the BITS Pilani Application Centre. Applicants need to submit an Employer Consent Form authorized by their organization's HR or authorized signatory, along with a Mentor Consent Form signed by their chosen mentor. The academic structure consists of four semesters, with a blend of core management courses and specialized digital business courses, culminating in a project in the final semester. The coursework spans four semesters, with the first three semesters covering required coursework and the fourth semester dedicated to a Project. The curriculum blends traditional management fundamentals with specialized digital business courses. First semester courses include Financial and Management Accounting, Managerial Economics, Quantitative Methods, and Managing People & Organizations. Second semester courses include Marketing, Financial Management, Strategic Management and Business Policy, and Digital Business Design. Third semester features Digital Strategies for Business, Digital Technologies and Analytics, Digital Customer Experience Management, Operations Management, and electives. The fourth semester is dedicated to the Project. Students can choose from a range of electives including Introduction to Fintech, Financial Analytics, Blockchain and Applications, Supply Chain Analytics, Analytics for Marketing, Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Digital Manufacturing and Logistics, and Entrepreneurial Finance. The choice of electives is made available to enrolled students at the beginning of each semester, with a limited selection offered at the discretion of the Institute. The Finance Lab hosts state-of-the-art Bloomberg Terminals that capture real-time financial market information, along with databases such as "Prowess" for company, sector, and economic information. The Management Lab is equipped with software, simulations, and digital resources for core management areas, including Microsoft Project software and access to multimedia lectures, case studies, and peer-reviewed journals.
