Dan Roden, born in Montreal, earned his medical degree from McGill University and trained in Clinical Pharmacology and Cardiology at Vanderbilt, where he has been a faculty member ever since. His research focuses on the genetic and molecular basis of arrhythmia susceptibility and treatment response. Over the past decade, Dr. Roden has led Vanderbilt's pharmacogenomics efforts, including the PREDICT project, which integrates pharmacogenomic data into electronic medical records. He also directs Vanderbilt’s BioVU DNA databank and serves as principal investigator for NIH-funded pharmacogenomics initiatives. Recognized with numerous awards, Dr. Roden is a leader in personalized medicine and serves on the FDA’s Science Board.
