Under his leadership, UPV has become a leader in educational technology, producing thousands of video learning objects and virtual labs that have transformed digital education. His expertise spans across multimedia systems, network administration, and educational technology innovation, making him a pivotal figure in advancing digital learning solutions.

Diversity and Equal Opportunities Leader in Higher Education

Silvia Barattieri serves as Head of the Equal Opportunities Unit at Politecnico di Milano, where she leads initiatives to implement the university's diversity and inclusion mission. After earning her MSc and PhD in History from the University of Milan, she has focused her career on advancing women's studies and gender equality in academic settings. Her work includes coordinating the university's Gender Equality Plan and leading the Polytechnic Equal Opportunities (POP) initiative, which addresses five key areas: gender identity, multiculturalism, sexual orientation, disability, and psychological wellbeing
